Panel: Selection Count [for InDesign CS5]

For me, most annoying thing in InDesign is that you CAN’T see or find how many object I have selected. Even “Info” panel is not showing that info!

So, I decided to create small panel that shows you number of currently selected objects. It will not count objects inside groups.

Hope you will find this panel useful and handy! 🙂

Keep in mind that it will not work in pre-CS5 versions of InDesign! It has no installer, so you have to unzip SWF and copy it yourself to panels folder.

Folder can be found here:

{Adobe InDesign CS5 install folder}\Plug-Ins\Panels

If “panels” folder does not exists in your “plug-ins” folder, feel free to create it. After opening InDesign, panel is located in “Window -> Extensions” menu.

You can download panel here:

That’s it!

Have fun! 😀

Man, speak about a great publish! I’ve stumbled across your blog a few Instances within the previous, but I usually forgot to bookmark it. But not again! Thanks for posting the way you do, I genuinely recognize seeing someone who actually features a viewpoint and isn’t really just bringing back again up crap like nearly all other writers right now. Keep it up!
